Atlanta Student to Perform Live on BET’s 106 & Park

23-year-old Atlanta man to perform Burger King jingle on BET’s 106 & Park

(UrbanNewsRoom) ATLANTA– Burger King is partnering with BET to find the tune to their next jingle. Ken Wright, 23, will travel from Atlanta to New York on Thursday to perform live on BET’s 106 & Park.

Wright is one of three contest winners selected from around the country to fly to New York, perform his selection live, and best of all, potentially be the voice of Burger King’s new jingle, nationwide.

“Being on the 106 & Park show could open a lot of doors and will create great exposure,” Wright told Urban Newsroom. He also went on to say:

“I’m excited to have such great supporters in my family, friends, fraternity and now humbly, a few fans.”

Viewers and audience members on 106 & Park will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite tune, but Burger King will have the final say in choosing their nationwide jingle, of course.

Now, Wright is looking at the bigger picture and what this opportunity could afford him at such a young age. When asked about his future singing career, if he wins, Wright had this to say:

“I’m always encouraged when I think of how Tyrese got his big break doing a commercial for Coca-Cola, so we’ll see what else is next,” he said.

If Wright wins the votes Thursday, the Georgia State University student will win $1,000 in Burger King and VISA gift cards and a commercial spot with Burger King.
