(ETonline) The stars of TLC’s new reality show “Sister Wives” are being investigated for bigamy, according to a report.

According to People magazine, Utah police are investigating Kody Brown and his four wives for felony bigamy. Police tell People they began investigating the polygamist family following publicity for the reality series.

“At the conclusion of the investigation, the evidence will be forwarded to the Utah County Attorney’s Office for review and possible prosecution,” Lt. Darren Paul told People.

“Sister Wives” airs on TLC on Sunday nights. It follows the lives of Kody, his wives Meri,Janelle and Christine, and his courtship of his fourth wife Robyn.
