Gabourey Sidibe to Host Saturday Night Live!

(E!online) Dear Howard Stern, Gabourey Sidibe is doing just fine, thank you very much! Despite the shock jock’s controversial remarks that the Precious Oscar nominee will have trouble getting more work in Hollywood because of her size, a source exclusively tells me that… Ms. Sidibe is going to be hosting an upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live! “It literally just happened,” my source said of the deal. No word on an exact date yet. Jennifer Lopez hosts this Saturday, followed by Tina Fey and Ryan Phillippe. And as most of us already know, Betty White gets the honors on May 8. SNL is not—we repeat, not—the only gig Sidibe has scored since her feature film debut. She has a recurring role on Showtime’s…

Jay Leno: ‘Conan was treated terribly’

(ETonline) Before taping a segment for “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on Tuesday, HLN host Joy Behar conducted a candid, impromptu video interview with Leno about how former “Tonight Show” host Conan O’Brien was treated prior to his departure from the network last February. “Conan got screwed — I got screwed,” Leno told Behar. “I mean, this is TV. The reason show business pays a lot of money is so when you get screwed you have something left over.” The funnyman turned serious, adding, “Conan was treated terribly, and I was treated terribly … and I think Conan will come back and he’ll be strong, and we’ll all compete against one another. It should be me against [David]…

U.S. pledges $1.15 billion for Haiti recovery

(MSNBC) NEW YORK – The Obama administration is to pledge $1.15 billion over the next two years to help with Haiti’s post-earthquake reconstruction, according to a senior U.S. official. The official said Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton would announce the pledge on Wednesday at a United Nations donors conference that is expected to raise a total of about $4 billion. This initial assistance will be used to rebuild schools, hospitals, courthouses and neighborhoods destroyed in the Jan. 12 quake, which killed up to 300,000 people. The official spoke on condition of anonymity ahead of the formal announcement at the conference that Clinton is co-chairing with U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon. Representatives of more than 130…

Netflix is the big loser in Postal Service changes

(MSNBC) In the face of naysayers who have long predicted its demise, Netflix has had a remarkable few years. In 2005, the Los Gatos, Calif.-based DVD rental service boasted 4.2 million subscribers and enjoyed net earnings of $41.9 million. Last year, the company netted $115.9 million, and its bright red envelopes made their way into the homes of 12.3 million subscribers nationwide. The company’s NASDAQ-listed stock price tripled in that period. 2010 is shaping up to be another stellar year. On Feb. 25 of this year, Netflix enjoyed a red-envelope day of sorts: It surpassed former industry leader Blockbuster in movie rental revenue for the first time. Meanwhile, as mom-and-pop rental stores close up shop and Blockbuster…

Drill, Baby, Drill: Obama Opens Up Offshore Drilling and Exploration

(ABC) In a move that angered environmentalists, President Obama today said he is lifting bans onoffshore drilling and oil and gas exploration off the Virginia coast, and is expanding lease sales for oil and gas exploration on the Atlantic seaboard. “This is not a decision that I’ve made lightly,” Obama said at Andrews Air Force base today. “But the bottom line is this: Given our energy needs, in order to sustain economic growth, produce jobs and keep our businesses competitive, we’re going to need to harness traditional sources of fuel even as we ramp up production of new sources of renewable, homegrown energy.” The Obama administration’s move to allow the lease sale to go forward for oil and gas exploration…

(TV Guide) After two weeks of performances on Dancing with the Stars, it’s time to eliminate the first couple of Season 10. Did Buzz and Kate overcome their low scores? Or was there a shocking boot? Find out below! Tom already tweeted that the bottom two is quite the “WTF???” so why prolong the suspense any longer? We get the first safe couple and first pair in the bottom two right off the bat. I’m liking this revamped season. First safe couple: Buzz and Ashly Surprising? Eh. You can’t boot the sweet old man and, you know, the guy who walked on the moon right away. Jesse James enters treatment facility

(ETonline) A rep for Sandra Bullock‘s husband Jesse James says James has checked in to a treatment facility. “Jesse checked himself into a treatment facility to deal with personal issues,” his rep tells People.com. “He realized that this time was crucial to help himself, help his family and help save his marriage.” The site says James’ rep didn’t say what kind of treatment facility he’d checked in to.

FOX drops LL Cool J clips from ‘Real American Stories’

(ETonline) Is there a feud brewing between LL Cool J and Sarah Palin? Originally, the rapper and star of “NCIS: Los Angeles” was being promoted as a guest on Sarah’s new show, “Real American Stories.” However, he claims he was never actually asked to be on the program. “Contrary to what was reported, LL Cool J was never scheduled to be a guest on ‘Real American Stories’ with Sarah Palin this week,” his rep tells ET. “The show had planned to use an interview from 2008 that was being re-purposed without LL’s permission.” The rep went on to say there is no animosity on their end, adding, “This statement is not a reflection of any feelings LL…

Ex Jolie Employee: She’s ‘Psycho’

(The Star Celeb) InTouch Weekly is becoming the go-to place to out a celebrity for any wrongdoing, as the publication is reporting one ofAngelina Jolie’s ex-bodyguard’s inside details about the actress. The source will only name himself Bill, which kind of makes me skeptical, but he goes on and on about how “psycho” Jolie is, painting a crazed picture of the star. “Angelina has a public and a private persona,” he said and didn’t stop there. “In my opinion, the real Angelina is self-centered and a control freak,” Bill(if that’s even his name) said. “She has no patience at all. She doesn’t do things out of the kindness of her heart. And she’s totally psycho.” He had…

Best Sleep Positions To Rid Aches, Pains

(CBS) How you sleep at night can directly effect how you feel during the day: certain sleep positions are more likely to lead to aches and pains. Terri Trespicio, senior editor for “Body+Soul” magazine, showed Early Show co-anchors how to prevent some of those sleep-related pains. According to Trespicio, sleeping on your back is actually the best possible position for your body. “It is the best for your spine if you had no pillow. Ideally, the best way is on your back with no pillow,” she told Early Show co-anchor Harry Smith and Early Show weather anchor and features reporter, Dave Price, who are both back sleepers. If you don’t use a pillow, it will allow your spine to…
